2024 Resolutions Committee to the

The Resolutions Committee did not receive any proposed resolutions via any method, including
via email, paper, posting on the website, etc. Thus, there are no resolutions to consider under the
rules of the convention.

There is always the possibility that someone will want to propose new resolutions not seen by the
committee. The rules being considered for adoption by the convention include:

Resolutions: In accordance with the County Plan of Organization, the Resolutions Committee shall
post notice of all business it will place before the Convention at least thirty (30) days prior to the
Convention by placing its report on the County website. Resolutions not included in its posted report may be
submitted by the Committee or a Delegate but only if the maker justifies the delay to the committee.

Resolutions regarding issues sufficiently addressed in the National and State Republican Party
Platforms will be ruled out of order and considered unnecessary. The maker shall submit the resolution to the
Resolutions Committee at least 7 (seven) days prior to the convention to confirm this. The maker of a
resolution shall provide a printed copy of the resolution to all Delegates at the Convention. The date,
the author and the organization if any, must be clearly identified at the top of the resolution, and the
maker is advised to be in attendance. Three (3) minutes are allowed for a presentation.

A two-thirds vote is required to consider these Resolutions and a majority vote is required to adopt.
Delegates wanting to present resolutions on the day of Convention will need to get these rules
suspended in order for the Convention to consider their proposals. They will also need paper copies
for all delegates attending.
